Junin to iro

(Ten people and ten color)

A long time ago, there was an emperor. He wanted to hire a painter to paint his portrait, so he advertised for painters from all over the country.
A few days later, ten selected painters came to his palace.Their pictures were very beautiful so he couldn't decide on only one peinter. He asked his advisors how to choose one painter. One advisor said,
"How about let them paint the clouds of same form?"
The emperor asked him,"Clouds of same form? Do you understand my question? I asked you how to choose one painter. If I did your way, I couldn't choose! Because there were really same pictures of white clouds. Can you choose only one picture?"
"Yes, I can. Because it is certain that they'll paint different pictures each of them."That advisor answerd. The emperor was persuaded by that advisor and decided to do the advisor's way.
The next morning, the emperor told the ten painters to paint the clouds of same form. A few hours later, the emperor looked at the finished pictures and was very suprised, because there were clouds of same form, but the color of them was slightly different. the emperor asked painters,
"Didn't I tell you to paint the clouds of same form? Why is each of them different?"
One painter answered, "Oh, you told us to paint the cloud of same form, but you didn't say to paint the cloud of same color. I wanted to paint a cloud of the crimson sky at sunset, so I used little red."
The next painter wanted to paint a cloud of the cloudy sky, the
next a fine sky, the next a sky of the night, next was... Each of them wanted to paint clouds of different skys, so there were ten differently colored clouds. Ten painters had ten different colors and opinions about clouds of the sky.

So "Junin to iro". In English is "So many men, so many minds".
