I no nakano kawazu taikai wo shirazu

(A frog in the well knows not the great ocean )

At first, [kawazu] is the frog, [taikai] is the outer world, and [Ido] is the well in Japanese.
In old times, there was a frog living in the well. He had lived in the well since he was a tadpole, so he had never seen the world out of the well, or creatures why he was so haughty as compared with insects in the well, and always talked as if   "the world in the well was the only world and that the frog is the greatest creature in the world", but one day, a new comer fell in the well. Actually, he was a snake, but the frog did not know what was a snake, so he got near the snake, and spoke to him,
"Hello, I'm a frog, the greatest creature in the world, as you know."
The snake laughed at that and said to frog.
"How stupid! You seem to know nothing about this world, if you go out of the well, you will see there is the much larger world, and in it, frogs are very very small creatures."
The frog was astonished to death. Then, the snake ate this frog,
and said "I no nakano kawazu taikai wo shi razu."
